The Petromax Atago is your all-in-one solution for outdoor cooking, featuring a grill, oven, stove, and fire bowl. Its clever design optimises the chimney effect for precise temperature control via an adjustable air supply. Quick heating is achieved at the maximum opening, and the side wall openings ensure ideal ventilation.
Thanks to its unique extension-retraction mechanism, the Atago is ready to use in an instant and folds to a height of just 14 cm. It's perfect for camping and overlanding, especially when paired with the Transport Bag.
Its double-walled construction not only enhances style but also retains heat effectively, keeping the outer cylinder cool even during extended use.
- Grill with wood, charcoal or briquettes using the included grill grate.
- Pair it with a Dutch Oven or wok by placing the cast iron fire pot on glowing briquettes inside the Atago for optimal heat output.

Braai with the Atago
The Petromax Atago comes with a high-quality and durable stainless-steel grill, which is ideal for braaing meat, fish, and vegetables. The grill is also the perfect 'stovetop' for the Perkomax Percolator and the Dutch Oven.
The coals are safely contained in the Atago which means you leave no trace after cooking.
Bake with the Atago
Pair with the Petromax Dutch Oven and prepare a variety of savoury dishes, from succulent meat dishes to hearty stews and bread bakes, with incredible efficiency. You’ll need no more than six briquettes for bottom heat, depending on the size of your Dutch Oven. The FT6 Dutch Oven fits perfectly within the Atago, while smaller cast-iron pots can also be positioned inside. Use the grilling plate for larger Dutch Ovens and frying pans that don't fit directly inside.

The Petromax Atago can be used as a fire pit to light a cozy campfire after cooking. Its round shape makes it easier to stack firewood, which makes it particularly easy to use as a fire bowl and fire pit.
How easy is it to set up the Atago?
The Atago can be setup for use with just one movement. After use, the Atago can be collapsed down again just as quickly. Its compact size of just 14cm when folded allows for space-saving storage, which is a must when storage space really matters.
The three fixed folding legs are very stable and will adapt to most uneven surfaces.
